Lazy Sunday: Drawing Day

Sunday 9 May 12.30pm to 4.30pm

Do you ever feel inspired to be creative but don't have all the equipment and the space to really get stuck in? If so then why not come down to Impressions for Lazy Sunday and get hands on with a range of drawing activities and workshops.

Don't miss this chance to create, relax and socialise while trying new things - like our mono printing workshop where you can learn basic printing techniques and create your own print to take home.

Whether you want to practice your observational skills by sketching the ever changing views of Centenary Square from our window or get experimental with our group wall drawing, there will be something for all levels and ages.

Everyone is welcome and you can refuel your creative energy with tea, coffee and biscuits at our café corner so whether you're a beginner or an expert, join us for a cuppa and get creative with Lazy Sunday at Impressions.

You can also take a stroll around our new exhibition Flatland: A Landscape of Punjab by Max Kandhola.

This Bank Holiday weekend
THE DAY BEFORE TOMORROW

recent paintings drawings and prints by
Donald C Myers
Sat 1st May to Mon 3rd May 11am - 4pm
Donald C Myers achieved commercial success with his humorous commentaries and multi-layered
narratives referencing urban life. He now turns his attention to more far-reaching contemporary concerns.

Again through playful narratives he addresses the paradox, the 'space between' the harsh realities of global corruption,
crime and conflict and the resilience of the human spirit, signified predominantly through the innocence of children.
The viewer is continually asked to make connections, complete stories and to question the morality of the world we live in.

This short exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view together work made over the last three years.
