Artists Needed - Headingley Arts Trail
The Bowery is planning the 'Headingley Arts Trail', a collective exhibition around Headingley and the surrounding area. We will have local residents and independent businesses open their houses/venues to exhibit the work of local artists and designer makers.
We are still looking for artists of all mediums to apply to exhibit and sell their work alongside other local designer makers.

Unique Arts, a retail arts and crafts outlet open to all, is holding a two-week exhibition of work at Shipley Library from July 19.
The display represents the range of work on sale in the shop, which is based at the South Square Centre, Thornton, Bradford. We sell a variety of art and crafts including textiles, photography, paintings, ceramics, woodwork, handmade cards, Fairtrade items and much more.
We are open to all artist and craftspeople, regardless of age, ability and background, who would like to see their work on display for sale.

John Britton will run a weekend of Ensemble Physical Improvisation performance and training, at Whitestone Arts, near Haworth, West Yorkshire, 1 - 3 October 2010.
You will arrive on Friday evening, October 1st and watch an entirely improvised performance by Quiddity Theatre.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be a workshop:
You will train, encountering yourself and encountering others. You will find yourself part of an emerging ensemble. You will go wild and laugh and remember how much joy there can be in working hard, in detail and without expectation.You will perform and perform and perform.
You will leave at 6.00pm on Sunday. Tired, invigorated, possibly a little overwhelmed but with a hundred things to consider as you continue to grow as an artist and a thinker.
This workshop is suitable for actors, improvisors, dancers and those who train through improvisation.
Cost: £235/£205 - including all food and accommodation (extra for single room)

Huddersfield Arts Festival 2010: Call for Proposals
Alice and Bob need ambitious work! This is the first Huddersfield Arts Festival and we invite proposals and expressions of interest from contemporary artists.
What: Large scale and/or participatory sculpture, installation, performance.
Where: The Warehouse, Bates Mill, Huddersfield, HD1 3DX, UK
When: Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd October 2010
Who: Contemporary artists with new ideas and/or existing work

Charges/Fees: There is no financial support at present and although funding is being sort for both this year and next, we are currently working on a £0 budget basis. No expenses or fees available at present. Participating artists will need to cover their own expenses including their own insurance. No additional charges. No application fee. We can offer you a sofa to sleep on. We will probably buy you a beer. We work for nothing too!
Alice & Bob Curate: Alice Bradshaw and Bob Milner are artists who co-curated Temporary Art Show at Bates Mill in May 2008 with Georgia Boniface, Kevin Boniface and Tom Senior. The team went on to direct Temporary Art Space at the Piece Hall in Halifax, March - August 2009. Alice also co-directs Contents May Vary based in Manchester, Fundada Artists' Film Festival launching at Halifax Festival in August 2010 and directs the Museum of Contemporary Rubbish. Bob is PEEP!, the gallery and publication project based in Wakefield and is one half of the cultural phenomenon 'Milk Two Sugars'.
