As a creative practitioner, your ideas are your currency. So, how do you go about protecting those ideas so someone else doesn't take the credit (and your money)? In this session, Jane Lambert will give you an overview of how to protect your intellectual property.
Jane Lambert is a barrister who has practised intellectual property, information technology, media and entertainment and competition law in the North of England for over thirty years She specialises in helping start-ups and other small businesses protect and exploit their investment in brands, design, technology and creative works.
This session is, quite literally, one that you can't afford to miss.

In this session, Christine Pyke will explore the skills you need to make an effective pitch to the people who hold the cash. An interactive session, you'll be looking at what makes a good presentation and how to plan an effective pitch.
Christine Pyke is a media consultant, trainer and lecturer whose background includes producing documentaries and entertainment series for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. She set up and ran her own independent production company and carried out training for Skillset and North West Vision and Media.
